Thompson & Co. named to Inc.’s 2026 Best Workplaces List
National recognition highlights T&C’s intentional, people-first workplace culture
Thompson & Co. earns a place on Inc.'s 2026 Best Workplaces list in the Advertising, Marketing & PR Industry category. The annual list, published at Inc.com, honors companies across the country that have built exceptional workplaces and vibrant cultures that support their teams and businesses, whether in-person, remote or hybrid.
This recognition follows a comprehensive evaluation process measuring workplace culture, employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. The process involved an employee survey conducted by Quantum Workplace, that assessed key areas such as management effectiveness, employee benefits, and professional development. T&C is one of the 507 companies recognized this year and the only company in Alaska.
For T&C, this recognition reflects a workplace culture intentionally designed around flexibility, trust and long-term employee well-being. The agency’s employee-centered approach includes eight weeks of paid parental leave for all parents, gradual return-to-work flexibility, newborn-friendly office policies, unlimited sick leave, remote work opportunities and a recently launched sabbatical program that rewards long-term commitment and provides employees with meaningful time to recharge.
“As all who work in PR know, the industry and world are constantly evolving, and T&C has continually adapted to new demands,” explained Jennifer Thompson, president and CEO. “At our agency, culture is not an afterthought, it’s an intentional practice. We believe great work comes from people who feel trusted, supported and valued through every stage of life and career. This philosophy shapes everything from our paid family leave policies and flexible work options to our sabbatical program and long-term investment in professional growth.”
T&C is a woman-owned, Alaska-based agency with national reach. Headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska, the agency includes team members located across the country and serves clients in industries ranging from travel and tourism to telecommunications, education, healthcare and resource development. This recognition builds on previous national honors, including being named one of PR News’ Top Places to Work in 2020 and one of America’s Best PR Firms by Forbes.
“This year’s Best Workplaces list goes beyond great company culture — it highlights companies making meaningful and sustained investment in their employees,” says Bonny Ghosh, editorial director at Inc. “Even in a labor market that favors employers, these companies understand that an intentional and authentic commitment to their teams drives stronger employee retention, engagement, and ultimately, a stronger business overall.”
