Thompson & Co. Public Relations is an award-winning, woman-owned, Alaska-based PR firm specializing in integrated communications, which includes brand messaging, media relations, social media strategy, event coordination, crisis planning and more for a wide range of industries and nonprofits.

Jennifer Thompson is the principal partner and president/CEO of T&C. With her name on the door, Jennifer ensures that absolutely everything the agency produces is strategic, consistent and exceeds client expectations. Overseeing account teams across the country, she's purposefully grown a cohesive agency structure that exudes a vibrant culture. With each team member she emphasizes the importance of work life balance and encourages their pursuit of passion to sustain the creative atmosphere in the agency, yielding unmatched client results. Recognized by PR News as a "Top 50Women in PR, " she is a member of the Anchorage Athena Society and a board member of the PublicRelations Society of America's Counselors Academy. In addition to the #workinpr life, she loves coffee, good shoes and sunshine. Jennifer lives and leads by the mantra: good PR starts at home.
Ariel serves as the chief operating officer for the agency. Born and raised in Alaska, Walsh brings more than ten years of experience in the banking industry to Thompson & Co. Public Relations having worked for corporations such as Td Banknorth and MBNA America bank. She also worked in the commercial fishing industry in Alaska for four seasons.
Prior to heading up Thompson & Co. PR's Houston office beginning in 2016, Liz Baker spent more than three years in the agency's Anchorage office. She offers a wide range of clients senior counsel and expertise in account planning as well as more tactical communications and media relations support. Her love for the field of public relations stems from a passion for writing, advocacy and working with the community. It is enhanced by her dedication, attention to detail and service mentality. She has been an active member of the Public Relations Society of America for nearly a decade and is now a member of the Houston, Texas chapter. Born and raised in Columbia, SouthCarolina, Liz holds a bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of South Carolina. When she is away from the office, you are likely to find her enjoying the outdoors, rooting for her favorite football teams or hiding behind a magazine or newspaper.
Kailee Wallis combines her strong aesthetic, digital strategy expertise and copywriting skills in her role as T&C's digital director. She's responsible for ensuring clients maximize opportunities and trends in the ever-evolving virtual landscape. Her digital prowess began early in her time at T&C, when she got her feet wet in the social media world as an account coordinator. Since then, she's rocketed up the ladder, playing an integral role in the expansion of T&C's digital department. Clients work with Kailee and the digital team to tell their stories through impactful videos, showcase their brand through photography, create authentic connections through organic social media, achieve company goals through strategically placed digital ads, and more. Raised in Healy, Alaska, Kailee graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a degree in graphic design, and a minor in journalism and public communications. In addition to being a digital expert, Kailee is also an authority on anything that airs on Bravo and she enjoys long walks with her miniature dachshund, Lenny.
Originally from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Bri Kelly left the comforts of home in 2011 and made the trek north to join T&C and tackle public relations and Alaska head on. As a senior account manager, Bri is well versed in developing strategic public relations plans for clients and is passionate about media relations, event planning and social media strategy. In addition to account management, Bri has years of experience in crisis communications, ranging from developing and implementing comprehensive crisis communications plans to assisting a client through a crisis. Bri earned bachelor's degrees in both public relations and Spanish from the University of Idaho and serves as aboard member for Great Land Trust. Outside of work, Bri enjoys the outdoors and indoors with her husband, daughter and four-legged sidekick.
Emily McLaughlin is a master of words, astute at pitching media with stories they care about and crafts events that become the talk of the town. A University of Alaska Anchorage graduate with a degree in journalism and public communications, Emily helped Koahnic Broadcast Corp. launch its first online-only radio station RIVR: Rising Indigenous Voices Radio; secured national media coverage of Alaska Pacific University's Nordic ski program and created a new tool for University of AlaskaAnchorage recruiters that focuses on the academic successes of its students and programs. Emily's diverse account work includes economic development, educational institutions and nonprofits. Emily has an active interest in the growth of her community and participates on the marketing committee for the Anchorage Downtown Partnership.
Ashleigh Ebert, a former executive producer and digital supervisor with NBC-affiliate KTUU Channel2 News in Anchorage, is an account manager in T&C's Anchorage office. Ashleigh's nine years in broadcast journalism provide important insight for agency clients with regard to understanding the media landscape and developing newsworthy story ideas and angles. Ashleigh's news background and analytical mindset expands across agency clients in social media, media relations, research and writing. Raised in Helena, Montana, Ashleigh graduated from the University of Montana with a bachelor's degree journalism. Away from the office, Ashleigh enjoys hiking with her dog, Aspen, and being near the water.
An adventure-seeker at heart, Kelsey moved to Alaska on her own after a summer visit and has never looked back. She exhibits the same curiosity and thirst for knowledge as she researches the latest tactics and trends for all her clients. Kelsey's love of writing and eye for design allow her to craft client newsletters that are not only opened, but shared. She has yet to come across a database too intimidating and is the agency go-to for platforms like MailChimp, Constant Contact and Campaign Monitor as well as WordPress and the complete Adobe Creative Suite. Her work is research-based and data-driven, and she's responsible for providing comprehensive metrics for all of her team's account work.
Meghan has led Thompson & Co. 's New York office since 2006 and handles national media relations for the agency's clients. A former journalist with a passion for travel, she has excellent writing skills, story concepts and insider knowledge of the media industry. She talks with editors and writers at the nation's largest publications on a daily basis securing coverage and organizing media events and briefings in New York for the agency's clients. Prior to joining the agency, Meghan worked as a journalist at National Geographic Traveler and CosmoGIRL! magazines. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and a Spanish language certificate from Ohio University. In her spare time, she volunteers for several non-profits and serves on the steering committee for Young Professionals for CARE.
Caitlin Weaver was raised on a small family farm in Illinois, where she learned important life skills like teamwork, perseverance and to always be a sleeve roller upper. She obtained a degree in agricultural communications from the University of Illinois before spending two years exploringAlaska and meeting its people as a reporter and anchor for Your Alaska Link. She brings her combined experiences in digital content creation, writing and market analysis to T&C's digital team. In her role as social media coordinator, Caitlin helps companies interact with consumers in new and engaging ways. Outside the office, you can find Caitlin continuing to explore the 49th state, camera in hand and dog and husband by her side.
Following her long-time passion for writing, Brittany earned a bachelor's degree in communications studies with a focus in public relations and pursued her dream career in PR after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. With agency experience in tourism, food and beverage and hospitality industries in one of the nation's fastest growing cities, she seeked new adventures and chose Alaska for its opportunities. She brings T&C clients a fresh and outside perspective to travel pitches and media outreach; a keen attention to detail; an appreciation for process and data; and, an ability to share the beauty of destinations through succinct and compelling writing. Away from the office, Brittany enjoys exploring her new home state with her husband (especially Alaska's delicious food scene).
Grace prides herself on her values, ethics, and integrity. Born and raised in Alaska, Grace joined T&C team with six years of office administration experience. She excels at customer service, problem-solving, bookkeeping and executing multiple tasks with flawless results. When not in the office, Grace enjoys cuddling with her dog Opie and adding to her collection of ornate earrings.
